Clean Water, Simplified

Enjoy cleaner, healthier swimming with AquaDei’s advanced glass filter media.

Change the sand in your filter with the purest glass filter media on the market.

Effective Filtration
AquaDei™ glass filter media is highly effective for high-rate sand filtration, offering better turbidity removal and efficiency than conventional filter sand. This results in clearer water and improved pool maintenance.
Improved Quality
AquaDei™ glass filter media is made from 100% recycled glass, efficiently removes finer particles, resulting in a 25% decrease in NTU levels. Its irregular granules prevent channeling, capturing more debris and filtering down to 2 microns, effectively removing skin cells, blood, hair, and 70% of bacteria.
Efficient Backwashing
AquaDei™ glass filter media requires over 20% less backwash water, reducing costs for sewer lines, holding tanks, water consumption, chemical treatments, and heating. Additionally, the lighter and less dense glass sand media saves on shipping, handling, and disposal costs.
Cleaner Product
AquaDei™ glass filter media is non-porous and less prone to buildup, requiring replacement far less often. Unlike mined sand, it has less dust and residue, offers a longer filter life, and is free from hazardous substances like crystalline silica. Using AquaDei™ glass filter media ensures crystal clear pool water, while being environmentally friendly and safe for disposal.

What is AquaDei™ filter media?
AquaDei™ is a premium glass filter media that provides superior water clarity and long-lasting performance at lower use of chemicals.
How is AquaDei™ better than quartz sand?
AquaDei™ Glass is 100% chemically stable, bio-inert and bio-resistant filter media. Nothing thrives in glass, thus preventing formation of biofilm - a slimy acidic substance formed by bacteria inside the filter, so less daily consumption of chemicals is needed to keep the water biologically correct. Glass is hydrophobic, reacts less with the calcium-carbonates in water thus preventing formation of clumps, clogging and channeling that lead to inconsistent and unreliable filtration.
Is AquaDei™ eco-friendly?
Yes, AquaDei™ is made from 100% recycled glass, reducing the need for mining natural resources like sand, making it a sustainable choice for filtration.
What type of glass is used in AquaDei™ filter media, and why does it matter?
AquaDei™ uses predominantly post-industrial flat glass, but also post-consumer bottle glass, washed prior to entering our production process and further sterilized prior to packing at 600°C to ensure high purity and performance.
Can AquaDei™ be used in any type of pool filter?
Yes, AquaDei™ is compatible with all types of sand pool filters and provides excellent filtration for both commercial and residential pools, as well as water filtration units for industrial purposes.
How does AquaDei™ impact water and energy consumption in pool maintenance?
AquaDei™ reduces water usage during backwashing by over 20% and saves energy, thanks to its long lasting consistent filtration and lower pump requirements.
How do I switch from quartz sand to AquaDei™?
Switching to AquaDei™ is simple! Drain your pool filter, remove the existing sand, clean the filter, and fill it with AquaDei™ to the recommended level.
Is AquaDei™ filter media "activated" or “negatively charged”?
Our drying and sterilization process at 600°C provides increased roughness of the glass particles and increase in the surface area which some producers declare as surface activation, or activated glass. Filtration operates purely as a mechanical process where no additional forces are at play. In this process, unwanted particles are captured through the interaction between the water flow and the filter media. Glass, by its inherent properties, does not permit the unrestricted movement of electrons, making it impossible for it to be "charged". While some competitors may assert that their glass is "negatively charged”, such claims lack scientific support or validation.
